Mansa Studios, a production company co-founded by actors David Oyelowo and Nate Parker, is launching three original vertical series on TikTok's Minis platform. The shows are "My Twin Sister Stole My Man," a drama centered on betrayal and family ties; "I Married the King of the Streets," described as a romance involving love and power; and "The Love Contract," which follows a contractual relationship that evolves into something deeper.
The launch follows months of collaboration between Mansa and TikTok, according to the studio's leadership. Parker, who serves as co-founder and CEO, said TikTok has become influential for entertainment discovery and that the simultaneous release of multiple projects allows the studio to continue developing mobile-first storytelling.
Oyelowo said the studio was created to ensure culturally rich stories reach audiences across platforms as viewing habits shift. He noted that Mansa aims to create opportunities for diverse storytellers and talent.
Mansa originally launched as an ad-supported streaming service focused on Black content for a global audience. The studio has announced plans to invest in vertical entertainment through 2026 and earlier this year unveiled a slate of 10 original microdrama series. It also maintains a theatrical deal with AMC Theatres and continues developing TV and film content alongside microdramas.
