Troye Sivan appeared as a surprise guest during Kacey Musgraves' second night at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday to perform their duet "Easy" live for the first time. The Australian singer took the stage in brown leather pants with silver rivets and a brown plaid shirt under a chocolate-covered vest. The pair circled each other while singing the song as the crowd responded with excitement.
Musgraves and Sivan released a remix of "Easy" nearly six years ago, featuring producer Mark Ronson alongside a music video directed by Bardia Zeinali. Sivan had originally released "Easy" on his August 2020 EP "In a Dream." The two have collaborated multiple times since 2019, when they first worked together on "Glittery" for "The Kacey Musgraves Christmas Show" special.
Sivan posted a backstage clip on TikTok following the performance, showing the pair posing and slow dancing together. On the first night of Musgraves' Madison Square Garden stand, the singer paid tribute to Dolly Parton, who died the previous week at 80. Musgraves performed a cover of Parton's 1981 song "9 to 5," which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Musgraves' Middle of Nowhere tour continues at Philadelphia's Xfinity Mobile Arena on Friday.
