Shangri-La Qaryat Al Beri, a waterfront resort in Abu Dhabi, features a canal system with private abra boats that allow guests to move through the property away from city noise. The resort includes a hotel, six villas, and 161 apartments across an expansive grounds. The property opened in 2007.
Guest rooms incorporate Arabic design elements, with mashrabiya screens and desert-themed artwork alongside modern amenities such as espresso machines and streaming services. Specialty suites span 135 square metres and include separate living, dining, and sleeping areas, with balconies overlooking the canal and Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. The resort's decor features dark wood furnishings and heritage-inspired details.
Dining venues include Sofra Bld, the main restaurant offering buffet service with Middle Eastern dishes and nightly theme dinners such as Arabesque Night priced at 238 dirhams per person. Shang Palace, the on-site Chinese restaurant, offers dishes including Sichuan spicy shredded chicken salad at 38 dirhams and roasted Peking duck at 98 dirhams. A second restaurant, Bord Eau by Nicolas Isnard, was scheduled to reopen in September after summer closure.
The property also operates a pool bar serving mocktails at 42 dirhams and a lobby lounge offering afternoon tea from 175 dirhams per person through the end of September. The infinity pool overlooks the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
