Germany's Foreign Ministry on Friday criticized an AI-generated video posted by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir showing Palestinian prisoners being sent on a conveyor belt into a prison. Foreign Ministry spokesman Martin Giese told journalists in Berlin the video was "completely unacceptable" and "appalling," according to Anadolu Agency.

The video has since been deleted, but Giese said its removal did not diminish the severity of its content. He said Germany "really rejects" Ben-Gvir's politics and the way he expresses himself, adding "Our position on this is absolutely clear."

Critics compared the imagery in the video to concentration camps, according to Anadolu Agency's account of the incident. Ben-Gvir is the head of the National Security Ministry, a position he has held in Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government.
