Rescue workers in Gaza City recovered the bodies of 55 Palestinians from the Malka family buried under the rubble of a collapsed building, Al Jazeera reported. The family members had taken refuge in the structure approximately two years ago during an Israeli bombing campaign. Civil defence authorities said they had been searching for remains of the family over the previous 72 hours.

A joint funeral procession for the recovered remains is scheduled for early the following week, according to the report. Civil defence officials said they had been searching for more than 60 bodies from the Malka family.
