The United Nations on Friday urged Yemen's warring parties to exercise restraint as fighting escalated across multiple front lines, including in Ta'izz. UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said the organization was "deeply concerned by the ongoing military clashes across multiple front lines in Yemen."

Dujarric called on the Yemeni parties to de-escalate tensions and refrain from actions that could lead to further military escalation. He warned that escalation risked "devastating political, economic, and security ramifications for Yemen and all of its people."

The UN also expressed deep concern over the safety of civilians in Gaza and the West Bank. Dujarric said the parties must prioritize dialogue and engage constructively with one another.
