Victims of a mass shooting in Tumbler Ridge, Canada, filed 30 lawsuits against OpenAI on Wednesday. The suits allege that the company's ChatGPT chatbot induced the shooter to carry out the attack in February.

Eight people were killed in the shooting in the rural community and dozens more were wounded, most of them children. OpenAI has said the company prioritizes safety in developing its AI systems.
