US President Donald Trump said Friday that Washington could strike Iran's Pickaxe Mountain site "very soon," according to reporting by Anadolu, the Turkish state news agency.

Asked whether the confrontation with Iran should be considered a war, Trump said he preferred to call it a "military conflict." He told reporters in the Oval Office: "A lot of people don't call it a war. I call it a military conflict because it's small potatoes for us. It's not a big thing."

Trump said the US has been conducting "intermittent strikes" against Iran and claimed there had been no active fighting for several days before a recent US attack that targeted Iranian radar systems.
