AQAR, a Saudi Arabia-based real estate platform, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Doushesh, a Syrian classifieds company, for a strategic investment of up to $480,000. The agreement was signed by Ibrahim Al-Shehail, CEO of AQAR, and Alaa Al-Din Zarzour, CEO of Doushesh. The investment will be structured as a Simple Agreement for Future Equity, or SAFE, with capital deployed in tranches tied to agreed growth milestones.
Doushesh, founded in 2025 by Alaa Al-Din Zarzour and Zafer Odabashi, operates a classifieds marketplace covering real estate, vehicles, electronics, furniture, jobs and services across Syria. The startup closed a pre-seed funding round earlier this year. The investment is intended to support the company's expansion within Syria and broader development of digital infrastructure for the real estate and classifieds advertising sectors.
