Two young men were killed Friday in an Israeli drone strike in Nabatieh, a city in southern Lebanon, according to Lebanon's National News Agency. The strike targeted them as they rode a motorcycle near the Engineers' Syndicate building in the afternoon.

The strike occurred under a ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel that provides for a gradual Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon, negotiated with US mediation. Israeli military operations in southern Lebanese towns and villages have continued since the agreement took effect.

Lebanese authorities said Israeli attacks since March 2, 2026, have killed more than 4,000 people and injured over 12,000 others. The same period has forced more than 1 million people from their homes, according to their count.
