President Donald Trump plans to use a Qatari-provided aircraft serving as Air Force One during a trip to Ireland later this month, a senior White House official told CNN. The decision comes two months after Trump flew the same aircraft to Turkey, then secretly departed on an alternate plane citing security concerns.

The Qatar-gifted jet has become the subject of repeated scrutiny over its potential vulnerabilities. After the Turkey trip, questions persisted about whether the aircraft's security systems met the standards required for presidential travel.

The White House official did not elaborate on how the security concerns from the Turkey visit had been addressed or resolved.
