The US dollar closed Wednesday's trading steady in Baghdad but higher in the northern Iraqi city of Erbil, according to a market survey by Shafaq News, a regional news outlet. Exchange rates hovered around 154,500 dinars per 100 dollars.
In Baghdad's official exchange markets, the dollar traded at 154,500 dinars per 100 dollars, unchanged from the morning session, the survey noted. In the capital's exchange shops, selling prices stood at 155,000 dinars and buying prices at 154,000 dinars.
Erbil showed modest gains, with selling prices at 154,650 dinars per 100 dollars and buying prices at 154,600 dinars.
